The setting is both in the Ehchanted Forest, known also as Fairy Tale Land, or Mysthaven. And the Land Without Magic {the real world}
Some noteable locations within both worlds.
Arendelle is located exactly 12 hours northwest of Oslo Norway and is located within the Land Without Magic, however there is magic there, ice and snow magic is native to that area. According to Oslo and dutch legends, a powerful sorceress of some kind lives in those mountains near or at the North Pole. This is mostly true as the sorcerress in question is Queen Elsa herself. She is gifted with ice magic. Known to the inhabatants of Arendelle as Elemental magic. She does not practise witchcraft but she does practise potioncraft and bloodmagic.
To get to Mysthaven from Arendelle, known also as the Enchanted Forest, is to travel a two week peirlous journey directly south from the port of Arendelle. This acts as a portal between the World Without Magic and the Enchanted Forest itself.
Within the Ehcanted Forest is several differnet kingdoms. Most notable being Prince Charmings kingdom that he rules with his wife Snow White, Regina's kingdom to the southwest, king Georges kingdom to the northeast, and lastly, the kingdoms of Perisa to the south, and the former Dark Ones castle to the northwest. Along with Sir Marouce's lands just within view of Prince Charming and Snow Whites castle turrets.
There is also two more kingdoms not well known, the duchy of Weselton, located directly west of Arendelle on the edge of Iceland, and the Southern Isles, which lie between Mysthaven and Arendelle just north of the portal between worlds is located.
Time period is modern day in the World Without Magic aside from Arendelle, which is not exactly tech advanced, the closest advancements in technology at Arendelle that any really have seen ar Fjord tour cruises, and some satalite phones.
There is no set timeline or time period, anything can happen within reason.
